Terms of Service

Last updated: 24 September 2026

The short version. CaskAid is an online tool for running a pub cellar. You get a free trial, then pay monthly and can cancel any time. Your pub's information belongs to you. CaskAid's cask guidance is general advice, so always follow your brewery's instructions too.

1. Who we are

CaskAid is provided by Josef Bateman, a sole trader trading as CaskAid (“we”, “us”, “our”).

Address: 3 Greenbank Crescent, Marple, Stockport, SK6 7PB, United Kingdom
Email: [email protected]
Website: caskaid.uk

2. What these terms cover

These terms apply to anyone who creates an account or uses CaskAid, including pub owners, managers and staff. By creating an account, or by using CaskAid, you agree to them. If you're signing up on behalf of a pub or business, you confirm you're allowed to accept these terms for it.

CaskAid is designed for businesses, so these terms are business-to-business terms.

3. The service

CaskAid is a web app for tracking cask ale from order to last pint, logging cellar checks (such as temperature, airing and line cleaning), recording staff training, sharing team notes and, on the Premium plan, viewing several pubs together.

We keep improving CaskAid, so features may change over time. We'll let you know before making any change that significantly reduces what your plan includes.

4. Accounts and logins

5. Free trial

New pubs get a free trial (currently 14 days) with all Premium features. No card is needed to start. If you don't choose a plan before the trial ends, your pub's board becomes read-only until you subscribe. Nothing is deleted.

6. Plans, prices and payment

7. Changing plan and cancelling

8. Your data

9. Using CaskAid properly

Please don't:

We may suspend an account that breaks these rules. Where it's reasonable, we'll contact you first.

10. Cask guidance and advice

CaskAid's timers, reminders, troubleshooting tips, glossary and articles are general guidance based on common cask ale practice. They're not a substitute for your brewery's own cask care instructions, your training, or professional advice from a cellar service engineer. Always follow the brewery's instructions and use your own judgement about whether beer is fit to serve.

11. Availability

We work hard to keep CaskAid running smoothly, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free. It may occasionally be offline for maintenance, updates or reasons outside our control, such as problems at our hosting providers or with your internet connection.

12. Our responsibility to you

13. Ending the agreement

You can stop using CaskAid and cancel at any time. We may end or suspend your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if payment isn't made. We may also stop offering CaskAid altogether. If we do, we'll give at least 30 days' notice and a chance to download your data, and we'll refund any payment covering the time after the service ends.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is significant, we'll tell owners by email or in the app before it takes effect. The date at the top shows when they were last updated.
